At the end of a gently sloping path, in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a small, irregular square opens up, the Plönlein. Here the path branches and flows around a small half-timbered building, forming the surrounding buildings into a picturesque ensemble. Two towers mark the path exits and make the narrow space appear like a gate pointing in different directions. The entire area feels like a well-kept secret, a historic city center that nestles closely against the natural conditions of the terrain.
