The Neckar winds its way here through the narrow valley, flanked by steep, wooded slopes. Deep down on the riverbank, Heidelberg spreads out, the roofs of the old town pressing closely together. Particularly striking is the Old Bridge, whose stone arches span the water and represent an important connection between the two banks.

On the opposite side, the slope rises more gently, with a series of stately buildings lining the river and marking the transition to the higher, wooded slopes. The expanse of the Neckar Valley and the historic buildings by the water give the place a very unique, almost picturesque atmosphere.

Access: The bus stops "Alte Brücke Nord" and "Marstallstraße" are each only a few hundred meters away.
