The Faller Gorge Bridge crosses the Isar Valley north of the Sylvenstein Reservoir, embedded in the forested steep slopes of the Bavarian Prealps. It forms a striking bend in the landscape and integrates itself as an engineering structure into the natural topography. The valley here narrows into a deeply cut gorge that channels the waters of the Isar.
The bridge swings in a wide arch over the gorge, its pillars firmly anchored in the rocky ground. To the left and right, dense coniferous forests border the structure, which stretches as a bold line through the green. Above it rise the peaks of the Tegernsee Mountains.
