The high valley opens up here to a vastness that is not common in the Karwendel, and immediately behind it, a bright limestone wall rises, furrowed like old leather. The Binsalm is nestled between larch slopes and alpine meadows, a seasonally managed alpine pasture that has always been more of a station than a destination. From here, hikes begin, and the panoramic path leads through this valley as if it knows what it promises. Above everything stands the gray, rugged rock, which gives the valley its strict, calm character.
