The mighty Castel Sant'Angelo rises directly on the riverbank, its round shape dominating the scenery and appearing particularly imposing from this position.

Opposite the castle, the Ponte Sant'Angelo spans the water, with its wide arches and figures at the bridge's edge. The water of the Tiber captures the city lights and optically connects the banks into a continuous whole.
