Ferdinand's View is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Saxon Switzerland. Located on the Ferdinandstein, it offers a spectacular view of the famous Bastei Bridge, which majestically spans between the bizarre sandstone cliffs. From the small rock pulpit, an impressive panorama opens up over the rugged rock landscape, the deep gorges, and the Elbe Valley. Especially in the early morning hours, when the first sun rays bathe the bridge and the rocks in warm light, an almost fairytale-like atmosphere is created. No other viewpoint shows the Bastei Bridge so impressively in its full beauty, which is why Ferdinand's View is one of the most popular photo motifs in the region.
