The Castle View opens from the northern Neckar side onto Heidelberg Castle, which rises before the green back of the Königsstuhl. A slight distance allows the sprawling complex with its many towers and walls to appear as an impressive whole, while the river gently meanders through the valley plain. The slopes of the Philosopher's Walk here reveal a sheltered position, which hints at the city panorama in the background.

Access: The Philosopher's Walk leads to this spot. The bus stops "Alte Brücke Nord" and "Alte Brücke" are within walking distance.
