The Jenner Summit Cross offers a unique combination of high alpine scenery and a breathtaking view of Königssee and the Steinerne Meer. The exposed location allows for an incomparable sense of depth and the opportunity to showcase the steep rock faces directly below the cross. The perspective on the Watzmann East Face, which unfolds its full size from here, is particularly appealing.

A visit is particularly worthwhile in autumn and spring, when the contrasts between the snow-capped peaks and the still green or already autumnally colored valleys are most intense. In winter, the spot offers an impressive snow landscape, which is further enhanced by the reflections in Königssee. The cable car makes access comfortable even in more difficult conditions.

For image compositions, wide-angle shots are suitable to capture the entire mountain world from Hochkalter to Hagengebirge. Telephoto lenses make it possible to work out details of the surrounding peaks such as the Schneibstein or the Hundstod. Close-ups of the summit cross with Königssee in the background also create a strong spatial effect.
