Klaus Äuele is located in the Stubai Valley in Tyrol, a flat valley floor that stretches at the foot of steep mountain slopes. It is traversed by the Ruetz and forms a wide floodplain surrounded by alpine forests and striking peaks.

The scenery thrives on the extreme verticality of the surrounding mountains, which tightly enclose the valley floor and create a deep perspective. It is crucial to capture the layering of the different forest zones: The dense coniferous forests on the mountain slopes contrast with the lighter tree stands in the floodplain area.

Playing with the leading lines of the Ruetz or the forest edges helps to emphasize the depth of the valley. Without clear structuring, the eye gets lost in the vastness of the landscape, and the dimensions of the mountains appear less imposing.
