Lake Misurina lies in the Sesto Dolomites, embedded between the steep flanks of the Cadini di Misurina and the Sorapiss Group. It is a natural mountain lake at over 1,700 meters in altitude, its shores lined with coniferous forests.

A hotel building stands solitarily on the shore, surrounded by the vastness of the water and the rugged mountain backdrop. The sheer mass of the rock walls plunges to the valley floor and frames the lake.
