The coast here gently slopes down, a flatter transition between land and sea, which does not show the rugged cliffs of other sections. Instead, green slopes spread out, softly inclining towards the horizon and giving Cape Arkona its special character. There, where the Jasmund peninsula juts out into the sea, lies this wide area with an unobstructed view over the sea.

The sea stretches out endlessly; on the opposite side, only a flat strip of land can be seen, unobtrusively extending under a wide sky. This openness constitutes the charm of the place, a mixture of vastness and yet palpable grounding.

Access: The bus stop "Kap Arkona" is in the immediate vicinity. A path leads to this viewpoint.
