The Cascades du Sautadet are a spectacle that makes the immense power of water palpable, as the Cèze here carves its way with a deep rumble into a bizarre rock landscape. The river course winds through a series of whirlpools and waterfalls, which have carved themselves over hundreds of meters into the white limestone and repeatedly form narrow passages.

Ancient rock formations line the bank, washed out and shaped by the constant movement of the water. A wooded hill limits the scenery, while the Cèze makes its way towards the village of La Roque-sur-Cèze.
