Due to its elevated position, the Mieders Reservoir offers an excellent view of the Stubai Alps and the valley. The terraced landscape and the surrounding alpine meadows create a unique backdrop for mountain panoramas that are otherwise rarely found.

A visit is particularly recommended in spring after the snowmelt or in autumn before the first snow, when the vegetation takes on its specific colors. The clear days during these seasons allow for an incomparable long-distance view of the surrounding peaks and the striking rock formations.

For image compositions, the gentle hill ranges in the foreground are suitable, which, in combination with the sharp contours of the Kalkkögel in the background, create a strong sense of depth. The long lines of the reservoir embankment can also be used to guide the viewer's eye through the picture and emphasize the vastness of the landscape.
