Lake Braies in the Hochpustertal of the South Tyrolean Dolomites nestles at the foot of the Seekofel group. A narrow shoreline separates the turquoise shimmering basin from a dense coniferous forest that steeply ascends the mountain flanks.
The rugged mountain backdrop is reflected in the calm surface of the lake. The clear water reveals the view to the bottom. The lake acts as a filter, softening the high-alpine structures of the surroundings.
