Freundsberg Castle thrones on a striking hill spur, which rises far visibly above the Inn Valley and gives the landscape here its own, unmistakable shape. From this elevated point, the gaze sweeps over the fertile foreland with its buildings and finds hold on the wooded slopes of the opposite valley side, which mark the horizon.

The keep, a proud stone structure, characterizes the image and creates a sense of historical depth, while the adjacent mountain church nestles somewhat deeper into the slope and opens up the view of the surrounding hamlets and the expansive valley.

Access: A parking lot is located not far from the castle. Alternatively, the spot is also accessible via the stops "Zintberg, Hochbehälter" or "Schwaz, Druckmüllerbrücke".
