Whoever stands here on the pier wall looks out onto the open sea, which stretches to the horizon. To the left, an old stone bridge pushes over the rocks, which cling to the water and have something to oppose the surf. Behind it, one perceives the coastline, which recaptures the view into the distance and gives the eye a hold.

The sea beats against the dark rocks under the bridge, on which lanterns line the way. A staircase leads from the pier wall down to a small platform at the water, from which one experiences the sound of the waves very close.

Access: The spot is located directly on the Ponta do Sol Pier, a path that opens up the coastline.
