A steep rock rises abruptly from the wooded slopes on the shore of Lake Bled. High up on this rock spur, Bled Castle is enthroned, its red roofs adding a warm accent to the green expanse of the treetops. The medieval fortress acts like a watchful viewpoint over the glittering, blue-green water surface and the surrounding landscape.

The wooded hills gently slope down to the lake, where small boat docks and wooden jetties nestle against the shore. From here, the view opens up to the wide water surface and the mighty mountain ranges that draw the horizon in the distance.

Access: Bled Castle is a well-known tourist destination in Bled. The path Pot okoli jezera leads around the lake.
