From Mala Osojnica, a wide lake surface opens up, extending far into the landscape in its calm blue. In the middle of the lake lies the small island with its striking church, surrounded by a dense wreath of trees. This island location gives the place a special sublimity, almost like a jewel carefully guarded by nature.

All around, wooded hills rise, enclosing the lake basin and forming a protected space. The impression is of a landscape that presents itself in gentle forms while offering astonishing vastness. The turquoise-blue water of Lake Bled characterizes the scenery and makes the island with its architecture appear like a silent wonder.
